Months before the University of Idaho murders, Bryan Kohberger was accused in a 2023 Dateline report of carrying out a disturbing scheme involving a female colleague at Washington State University. According to unnamed sources cited by the program, the woman returned to her apartment and found that someone had entered and moved belongings around, although nothing had been stolen.
