Taylor Maichak, a forensic scientist with Idaho State Police Forensic Services, was expected to testify about DNA testing she performed on evidence gathered during the investigation, including a group of everyday items seized from the Kohberger family home in Pennsylvania. Those items included a Band-Aid, drinking straws, earplugs, lollipop sticks, nail clippers, a flosser, a Q-tip-style swab, coffee and water bottles. Maichak generated DNA profiles from several of those items and identified an
