About This Episode

Bryan Kohberger pleaded guilty in July 2025 to murdering University of Idaho students Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin, avoiding the death penalty in exchange for four consecutive life sentences without parole. The agreement ended years of litigation over DNA found on a knife sheath, surveillance footage of a white Hyundai Elantra, cellphone records, witness testimony, genetic genealogy, and other evidence prosecutors said connected him to the King Road residence.
